A Last First

Hey. It's been awhile! 

I'm back at it. The last post from me was written on my last day in Sevilla. I am not sure how it can simultaneously feel like that happened both yesterday and five years ago, but it does. It's been an interesting, fun, weird, and busy summer, and I can't believe I find myself in Palos Heights beginning a BIG year. With this big year in front of me, I decided to blog about my corner of the world (along with the occasional random train of thought that I like to conduct). Ready or not, here I come. 

Today is a big day. It is my last first day of school!  At least for the forseeable future. So what do you do on the first day of school? You take a picture with your backpack. My dad has been putting my first day of school pictures up on his office desk for as long as I remember. You might think that it's a little awkward to continue this after one graduates the 5th grade. Nope. Not for the Gesches.
